How a Lead360º Feedback Cycle Works
A plain-language look at the Lead360º feedback cycle: its phases, how long it runs, how anonymity works, and what leaders receive.
A Lead360º cycle gathers feedback about a leader from several colleagues and turns it into a development picture. This article walks through the cycle so you know what to expect.
How long a cycle takes
Leaders take part in a cohort. A cohort runs about six months by default. Administrators can extend the end date when people need more time. See How to Extend a Lead360 Cohort End Date.
The phases
- Setup. The leader chooses at least 5 feedback providers by default. See How to Set Up Your Lead360 Profile.
- Self-assessment. The leader rates how often they show each behavior. See How to Complete Your Lead360 Self-Assessment.
- Initial feedback. Providers accept and answer short weekly feedback cards. Results unlock once enough providers accept and respond. See How to Reach Your Lead360 Feedback Provider Minimum.
- Ongoing feedback. The leader sees initial results while feedback keeps coming in.
- Final reflection. At the end date, final results are prepared and the leader reviews them. See How to Read Your Lead360 Results.
Raters and anonymity
Answers are anonymous. Admins can see who was invited and whether they responded. Ratings are pooled and shown only as a group, so leaders see patterns rather than who said what.
What leaders receive
Results are organized by competency. The competencies come from the leader’s role in Engage. Each competency compares the leader’s self rating with initial and final feedback, behavior by behavior. Leaders can export a PDF summary.
Using cycles for succession planning
Run across a group of current or emerging leaders, a cohort gives the organization a consistent read on leadership readiness. Administrators see cohort results and an end-of-cohort report. See How to Review Lead360 Cohort Results.
Will the leader know who gave which feedback?
No. Leaders see pooled results across their competencies, never individual answers.
How often should we run a cycle?
There is no required cadence. Some organizations run a new cohort to track progress over time. For guidance on your program, contact Humareso support.
Where are the detailed steps for launching a cycle?
Humareso sets up each cohort for you. Administrators can then follow How to Find Your Way Around the Lead360 Admin Area, How to Add Participants to a Lead360 Cohort, and How to Send Lead360 Setup Invitations.
