When Engage asks if you want to stop giving feedback
If you answer Don't Know three times in a row about the same habit or the same person, Engage asks whether to keep sending you those cards. Choose Continue to Give Feedback or Stop Giving Feedback.
Answering Don't Know is always fine. But if you keep answering it about the same thing, you may simply not work closely enough with that person to rate them. Engage notices and asks.
When the prompt appears
After you answer cards on the Feedback page, Engage checks your last three answers:
- If your last three answers about one habit for a colleague were all Don't Know, you see Up up and away? It explains that you have swiped up several times for that habit's feedback for that person and asks whether to keep asking you about it.
- If your last three answers about one person were all Don't Know, you see Just a heads 'up'. It asks whether you want to keep giving that person feedback at all.
If both apply, Engage asks about the habit first.
Your choices
- Continue to Give Feedback keeps everything as it is. Engage starts counting again from this point, so you will not be asked again until you answer Don't Know three more times in a row.
- Stop Giving Feedback removes you as a feedback provider. For the habit prompt, you stop getting cards about that habit for that person. For the person prompt, you stop getting cards about them. A confirmation tells you what changed.
Your earlier answers are not deleted.
Changed your mind?
The person can add you back to their feedback circle, or you can ask them to. See Making changes to your feedback circle.
Should I stop?
Stop if you genuinely do not see this person's work often enough. Fewer, better-informed providers give them a more accurate score than many guesses. If you work with them several times a week, keep going and answer what you have seen.
