How to Use Your Action Items in Leave

See what your leave case needs from you, how urgent each item is, and where to complete it.

Your action items tell you what your leave case needs from you right now. They appear on your dashboard and on each case, sorted by how urgent they are.

Find Your Action Items

On Your Dashboard

  1. Sign in to leave.humareso.com.
  2. Look for the Your action items card, with the line A few things on your plate right now.

If nothing needs you, the card does not appear.

On a Case

  1. Open your case.
  2. Select the Actions tab.

The tab shows only the items for that case. Items that need you to fill in details appear under Information Needed, and the rest under Other Actions. If nothing needs you, the tab has no items.

Read an Action Item

Each item shows:

  • A title describing what is needed.
  • A severity badge: Critical, Warning, or To-Do.
  • Who it is for, such as Employee or Manager.
  • A due date, shown as due and a date, when there is one.
  • The case name, which links to the case, when you have more than one case.
  • A button, when the task can be started right from the item.

The top of the dashboard card counts items by severity, for example 1 critical and 2 to-do.

What the Severities Mean

  • Critical. Needs attention now, often because a deadline is close or has passed.
  • Warning. Needs attention soon.
  • To-Do. Something to finish when you can.

Complete an Item

  1. Select the button on the item, or the case name to open the case.
  2. Do what the item asks, such as uploading a document or answering a question.
  3. The item clears on its own once the work is done.

You cannot dismiss or snooze an item yourself. If an item looks wrong, message your leave team.

What You'll See

Common Scenarios

  • An item asks for paperwork. Upload it on the Documents tab of your case. See How do I submit my paperwork?
  • An item is marked Critical. Do it first. If you cannot meet the date, message your leave team right away.
  • An item is for someone else. Some items name another person, such as your manager. You do not need to act on those.
  • An item stays after you finished. Items can take a short while to update. If it is still there later, message your leave team.

Tips

  • Check your action items each time you sign in.
  • Watch for All and Assigned to me buttons on the card. They appear only when an item is assigned to you personally.
