Completing Your HR Audit

By Jamie AquilaLast updated Jun 10, 2026

Work through the HR Audit area: audit tasks, your company profile with required FEIN, and the documentation checklist.

The HR Audit area in My HR Portal helps you track your audit progress, keep your company profile current, and supply the documentation Humareso needs. Working through it gives the Humareso team a complete and accurate picture of your organization.

This guide explains the three tabs that make up the HR Audit area, what each one is for, and the permission that controls access. It is aimed at users who are responsible for moving the audit forward.

A Quick Note on Access

The HR Audit area is not visible to everyone. It requires the portal:audit permission. If you do not see the HR Audit area in the portal, you likely do not have this permission yet. Reach out to your administrator or the Humareso team so the right people at your company can access it.

The Three Tabs

The HR Audit area is organized into three tabs: Tasks, Company Profile, and Documentation. Each covers a distinct part of the audit.

Tasks

The Tasks tab shows the audit-related requests tied to your audit. These are the items to work through with the Humareso team as your audit progresses. Because this tab is part of the audit area, viewing it requires the portal:audit permission.

Company Profile

The Company Profile tab is an editable form, grouped into sections, that captures key details about your organization.

One field is required: your FEIN, your Federal Employer Identification Number. You will need to provide it to complete the profile.

  1. Open the Company Profile tab.
  2. Work through the sections of the form.
  3. Enter your FEIN, which is required.
  4. Save your changes.

When you save, your company profile is recorded to your Humareso project record, so the team is working from the same details you entered.

Documentation

The Documentation tab is a checklist of the HR documents your audit requires. There are roughly twelve required documents, and the tab includes a progress bar so you can see how close you are to complete.

The required documents typically include items such as:

  • Your employee handbook
  • Job descriptions
  • Offer and termination templates
  • Benefit forms
  • An org chart
  • Performance review templates

For each document type you can upload a new file, replace an existing one, or download what is on file. As you supply each required document, the progress bar advances, giving you a clear sense of what is done and what remains.

Working Through the Audit

A good rhythm is to handle each tab in turn. Review your Tasks to see what the Humareso team needs from you, complete your Company Profile including the required FEIN, then use the Documentation checklist to supply each required document and watch the progress bar fill in.

Why can't I see the HR Audit area?

The area requires the portal:audit permission. If it is missing from your view, you do not have that permission yet. Ask your administrator or the Humareso team to grant access to the right people.

What information is required to complete my company profile?

The Company Profile form is grouped into sections, and the FEIN field is required. Fill in the sections and provide your FEIN, then save so the details record to your Humareso project record.

How do I know how much of my audit documentation is left?

The Documentation tab includes a progress bar across the roughly twelve required documents. As you upload each required document, the bar advances, so you can always see what remains.
