How to send a fax via HubSpot

You never have to leave HubSpot to send a fax. It might even be easier than SmartFax. Here's how.

  1. If this person is a known contact in HubSpot:
    1. Visit their profile in HubSpot
    2. Click their email property to add a secondary email.
    3. Add a new email: {fax number}@smartfax.com. For example 18005551212@smartfax.com
  2. Compose a new email
  3. As the sender, choose the Fax email address (fax@humareso.com)
  4. As the recipient of the message, choose the fax email address, such as 18005551212@smartfax.com.
  5. Add a Subject and Body to the message. This will function as the cover letter.
  6. Attach files you would like to send, such as images/pdfs.
  7. Send away. You can monitor the success of the send in SmartFax. 
    1. This will create a HelpDesk ticket. If faxing is a part of an existing ticket, please merge the two tickets.
    2. Otherwise, attach this ticket to the object/project you're working on.

Warning: The email needs to come from fax@humareso.com for SmartFax to know who is sending the email.
